1. What this service is

dancescanner.ch (the “Service”) is a free, non-commercial directory that automatically discovers and aggregates publicly available information about dance events (parties, socials and workshops) in Switzerland. It collects event details from publicly accessible websites, flyers and messages, and presents them in a searchable form together with links back to the original organisers.

The Service is an index and pointer to third-party events. We are not the organiser of any event listed, we do not sell tickets, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and an event organiser.

2. No warranty and no liability

Event information is gathered automatically and may be incomplete, out of date or incorrect. Dates, times, prices, locations and cancellations change without notice. The Service is provided “as is”, without any warranty of accuracy, completeness or availability.

Always verify the details with the organiser before travelling to or paying for an event. To the fullest extent permitted by Swiss law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, information shown here, or from any temporary or permanent unavailability of the Service.

3. Third-party content, flyers and copyright

Event flyers, images, logos, text and other materials shown on the Service originate from their respective organisers or authors and remain their property. We do not claim any ownership of, or rights in, this third-party content. It is displayed for informational purposes only, to help people find real dance events, and is attributed to its source wherever possible.

Links to external websites are provided for convenience. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content of any third-party site.

4. Removal requests (notice & takedown)

If you are an organiser, rights holder or otherwise affected, and you would like an event, image or other content removed or corrected, please contact us at dancescanner.ch@gmail.com. We will review the request and, where appropriate, remove or amend the content promptly. We honour reasonable requests to not crawl a source going forward.

5. Submitting an event

If you submit an event or a link through the Service, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you are entitled to share any material you provide. Submissions are reviewed before publication, and we may edit, decline or later remove any submission at our discretion. Do not submit content that is unlawful, misleading or infringes the rights of others.

6. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purpose of finding dance events. You may not scrape, copy or reproduce the compiled listings in bulk, interfere with the operation of the Service, or use it in any way that is unlawful or harmful.

7. Data protection

We keep data collection to a minimum. Aside from information needed to operate the Service and basic, aggregated usage statistics, we do not sell personal data. Event organiser contact details that appear on the Service are those already published publicly by the organisers themselves.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always applies and is dated above.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. To the extent permitted, the courts at the operator’s registered seat in Switzerland have exclusive jurisdiction.
